Excellent beginner site. Pull your wind down upon landing immediately, as it is a small take-off/landing. Please read the posted rules and regulations. Pay the usage fee at Wilderness beach hotel or Fynbos restaurant / Cheeseman at the entry gate to Gerricke's Point. It will get you a sticker for your helmet and allows you to fly the whole Garden Route (25 sites), except Gerricke's Point which is a small extra fee to fly on private property. Very easy dune take-off, 25m away from the dead-end in the road. Topland, or land at the beach and walk back up the dune, in the soft sand. From Wilderness, follow the N2 towards Sedgefield. Take the Kleinkranz exit to your left. Take the 3 or 4 right turn and drive towards the sea. Follow the dunes to the left upon reaching the seaside and park at the dead end in the road in a small piece of shade. 465m ASL ceiling 465m ASL ceiling

To cross over to Paradise ridge, you need a fairly strong breeze (>20km/hour) or some good height over the first dune before you cross. Watch the ocean for squall lines (cats paws) for incoming windgusts.
