The food at the restaurant in the resort gets good reviews. Malaysia has a food culture infused with Chinese influences and the food everywhere tends to be very good and very inexpensive.
Just outside the south fence (to the right facing the sea) of the resort is a cleared hill. At the top is a grassy launch. This is suitable for ridge soaring the large ridge to the south or for low wind sled rides to the beach and ground handling. Alternatively, it is possible to do launches from the grounds of the resort in the right winds for experienced pilots. This is only for NE winds onto the ridge directly under the resort. Top and side landing are possible but tight. Beach landing on the sand or flat rocks is the more likely choice, but is tighter at high tide when the rocks are covered. Landings along the southern ridge will be scouted and comments posted over time. If you fly there, please update this. Singapore's Changi airport is much closer than Kuala Lampur International airport, but you will have to cross the Singapore / Malay border. Consider engaging a Malay driver to pick up you and deliver you. iPhone's maps currently don't contain the road that leads directly from Kota Tinggi, the nearest town, to the seaside, but directs you on a circuitous route north and back south. Google Maps do contain the right road and directions. Here is the TripAdvisor website for the resort. http://www.tripadvisor.com...
