Large place to start, near the Schwartzwaldhochstrasse. Alt: 950m. Easy and funny. A good place to meet every kind of thermic and soaring conditions. Thermics come often like tide : one time everybody up, next time almost poeple at level of the start place. Just above. Look at the wind before landing. Take a look at the landingplace before first flight. He is small and not very plane. From Strassbourg it's very simple it's straight away to Germany. Follow direction A5 (Basel - Karlsruhe) but don't go on the motorway. Follow the road to Oberkirch, then Oppenau city. In Oppenau take left at the first roundabout then drive until you pass the door of the city. It's the second road on your right. Climb the moutain on the Schwartzwaldhochstrasse. You should see start place on your right at the end of ascension. If you are lost, keyword to ask someone is 'Zuflucht' Don't fly low in the area of the scale model flight area 500m on the right hand of the takeoff. Sud wind is flyable but dangerous when starting. Strong wind from North-West may be also dangerous all around the takeoff: very bumpy.
